Following site visits to the three Villages that participated in the Nepal Village Sanitation Program and meetings with Village committee chairs, construction team members and families, Healthabitat and Rotary in partnership, and representing the donors to the earthquake recovery in Nepal, provide this report on the works done to assist the villagers. HfH international project – Navajo Nation
2018
CPC Navajo Nation, 2018 commenced with a Healthabitat licensed Housing for Health survey-fix that tested and checked 250 essential safety and health hardware items in each house. This work was completed by a team of 4 local people led by a Team Leader. The local team members received some preliminary safety, testing and fix training.

HH partnered with Universities in Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle to ask students from design, engineering and health faculties to develop ideas to contribute to the HH designed toilet for Ethiopia.
The challenge was to develop, design and construct a prototype solution to successfully use less than 2L of water per person, per day (the estimated maximum water available in an Ethiopian village devoted to these specific activities) to achieve the following in order of priority: 1. washing faces (eyes),
2. washing hands, 3. water stored for other uses (such as extra water for drinking and cooking) and 4. washing a concrete toilet floor with wastewater from uses 1 and 2 above
