What do you bring to the HH work?
Knowledge and experience from working with other cultures and communities.
A power drill, toolbox, clipboard & a sense of humour.
Years involved with Housing for Health work (including R&D work)?12 years
What have you learned from being involved in the work?
Throughout Australia, children are at risk because housing design, construction and routine building maintenance are not being adequately addressed.
Indigenous people are rarely afforded the same care and respect as non-indigenous people.
In an ideal world what directions, ideas, results would you like to see HH and the Housing for Health work become or achieve?
The results of long hard years of work and research by Healthabitat have been celebrated and recognised internationally.
Ideally our own (Australian) Government would support the program with equal enthusiasm and support.
