The 2014 Homelessness Summit organised by NT Shelter and held in Darwin, Australia last week was an important event.
People assembled from the Top End and Central Australia as well as from interstate and overseas to be confronted with some hard facts about the hardships faced by some our citizens.
A great contribution, both with presentations and participation, was made by a significant number of Indigenous people attending the event. They work with many different aspects of the homelessness sector such as housing, health, justice and social services.
HH was invited to contribute and accepted a donation to continue our work that was generously made by the summit.
It is an irony that those who do the most, with the least to help the poorest citizens of Australia give most generously to help others. Thanks to you all.
